WHAT IS A SMART CHART OPPORTUNITY REVIEW? An objective, independent review from one or more MindForce Subject-Matter Experts who assess the market potential of one IP Asset. The IP Asset is also displayed in our visual Smart Chart, and a corresponding one-page business-first abstract. WHY THE NAME 'SMART CHART'? While we flirted with such predictable and forgettable names as the MF Market Visual Potential Chart or Market Assess Potential Chart and many more, the name SMART CHART seems most fitting because we rely on the views/opinions of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). We inherently recognize that 3 or even 5 or even 10 SMEs may not be able to absolutely predict the IP's best future commercialization path, our Smart Chart results (i.e. visual depiction), however, does provide a starting place for the IP Seeker to perform its own due diligence. THE PROCESS TO PRODUCE A SMART CHART OPPORTUNITY REVIEW: A Smart Chart Opportunity Review is conducted by MindForce involving one or more MindForce Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who assess the market potential of the IP, i.e. using his or her smarts (business intelligence, experience, gut feeling), to complete a scorecard. Each SME's business view centers not only on knowing about and/or researching other similar IP offerings in the market, but on talking with the key inventor(s). The Smart Chart process consists of three phases: Phase 1: SME(s) conducts market research before and after Phase 2 (usually 1 hour) Phase 2: All SME(s) interview IP Contributor (and Inventor), led by MindForce moderator, for a 1 Hour Q&A Session Phase 3: SME(s) completes a detailed Smart Chart scorecard, including our visual representation and one-page business-first abstract commentary TYPES OF MF SMART CHART OPPORTUNITY REVIEW SERVICES Individual (1) SME Smart Chart Opportunity Review ($600): MindForce selects the most appropriate SME for this analysis. This SME conducts all 3 phases of the Smart Chart process. Group (3 or 5) SME Smart Chart Opportunity Review: ($1500 or $2500) MindForce selects either 3 or 5 SMEs, and provides individual Smart Chart results from each SME as well as a combined Summary document. SME discussions with the IP Contributor (Phase II) are conducted by phone, once with all SMEs. SMEs complete their own Smart Chart scorecard, first, and then work together (with MindForce's moderator) to decide the IP's color, size and placement in the Smart Chart itself, and to produce the summary document.
